I've been trolled
2011-08-23 03:45:20 by cerealguy1992
And you know what? I am not afraid to admit it. It was such a good troll effort on the part of whoever runs dungeons and dragons online, and I was so pissed off, that I admire it.
So here is what happened:
I was looking for some free mmorpg's to play on my computer. Download or browser based I didnt care.
That is when I found the most perfect game for what I had in mind: Dungeons and Dragons. It initially seemed like all I had to do was create my account and download the software, but this was not the case. Anyways, it took like an hour to download the fuckin game, and then a few minutes to download more shit. So it finally finishes downloading, and I am all excited about it because my uncle told me about how it is on paper, so the thought of it online just has me psyched. So I get to the part where you get to create your character. I put down his name, his class and race, as well as path. Then I get to the part where you choose your characters appearance and here I am all confused because I cant see any characters on the screen, only the text and shit where I click to create my character. So then I go to youtube for it and see how it is supposed to be, and I come to two conclusions:
1. I have more shit to download.
2. Only the spoiled upper middle class can afford a computer to show the actual graphics of the game.
So I decide to try and go onto their forums on their website to ask about it, and I try logging in, but it says the username or password are wrong. I am uber pissed at this point, so I go to "forgot password" and it says to enter a product key. There is no fucking product key anywhere, not even in my email.
So I cannot ask about "create a character" nor can I actually create the character I want, so what do I do?
I yell, scream, and cuss for 5 minutes. It says it was free, but I spent time just trying to get to the part where I play the game, and it seems like I need a subscription, which costs money, to ask about it. It also seems like even if I had that, I would need to work at "Kiss Ass Corp." to make the salary to afford the computer to play the game.
Then I realize it:
I have just been trolled.
And then I laugh...
